The Club Lotus Festival was held at Donington on 20th and 21th April 2013. I went on the Saturday and the weather was superb. Attendance was busy in the hall. The highlight were the Lotus Evora GTE race car, the Chrome Evora which has recently been featured in a film. There was a great selections of Esprit's this year with a 2 Essex Esprits on display and another in the car park. I talked to a Lotus staff member who confirmed that the Lotus Evora GTE will not be produced as it does not have type approval. He also confirmed that the Evora will be facelifted in the near future and the new Esprit is on hold but Lotus are intending on producing it when the finances allow.
