Club Lotus Track day was a disappointment this year, due to the poor weather. Quite a number of Club Members had seen the weather forcast and decided not to attend, so the turn out of Lotus's was down. During the first hour, the track was quite busy, with a few Giugiaro Esprit's racing. However, as the rain set in, there were some spectacular spins. By about 10am the rain came down and the track emptied. Later in the morning, there was a parade lap, which proved popular, with a number of Lotus Turbo Esprit's, a few V8's and a black Lotus Esprit S350.

The Historic Lotus Register displayed some interesting cars, including Colin Chapman's Lotus Type 2 and a Lotus Type 9. Towards lunch time, heavy rain set in and people started to leave.
